The Sleeping Cell Wins TV Drama Vision Award at Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT
The Sleeping Cell by Portugal’s SPi has won the TV Drama Vision award at Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2024 in Toledo.
For the third consecutive year, Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision has selected a series in development from Conecta to be presented on stage in Göteborg.
THE SLEEPING CELL is a political thriller written by Miguel Simal, based on the novel of the same name by Nunu Nepomuceno. The story unfolds as Lisbon wakes up to the news of a terrorist attack, followed by the death of the Prime Minister. A professor and a journalist join forces to stop an international conspiracy rooted in their pasts. The series is produced by SPi, part of the SPTV Group.
